Is there a repair for the upper basket design flaw?

About a year ago, I requested support for upper basket brackets that had broken due to the cheap plastic design. I received them and installed them and one year later, they are broken again and the upper basket falls down. This is unacceptable, especially for the amount I paid for the dishwasher. I don’t believe I should have to pay for new brackets as this is a recurring problem, but I want a fix that is permanent, not simply an every year part replacement. Has anyone in the engineering department looked into this defective design?

Yes, cut off the VERY poorly designed cheap plactic tabs and fabricate stainless steel tabs (upper and lower) on each side of the basket arms and hold them in place by stainless screws. I got replacement basket arms but like everyone else they only lasted a few months. My stainless tabs have lasted since 2008 and still going strong!!

I have this same issue, my original set failed after about six months of use and the replacements have failed again about 7 months later. My shelves are now held in place by zip ties. I have to say I am very disappointed in this appliance.
